Rowhill School

Home Tuition

Rowhill School has a team of Home Tutors who work in homes and other venues with vulnerable KS3 and KS4 pupils, who, for a wide range of emotional and medical reasons are unable to attend a formal school provision.

Support is given to help pupils access learning opportunities across the curriculum with the aim of either integration into small groups at Rowhill School or, where appropriate, back into an eduacational placement. Tutors occasionally work alongside pupils in schools, supporting their successful reintegration. Our Heads of Faculty regularly liaise with our Home Tutor team, ensuring that the curriculum being followed by on site pupils can be followed as closely as possible with our Home Tutored pupils.

Home Tutors send daily reports to the school to ensure that all pupils progress and engagement is regularly reviewed and provision to be updated if necessary.

We work very closely with parents, carers and outside agencies as a partnership to support the development of the pupil academically, emotionally and socially.
